I need somewhere, someone to go to, any information would be greatly appreciated. I have only 21,000 on the car, and drive my 2nd car more a 79 300sd mercedes as it is more reliable then this new car. It has been serviced 8 times, transmission work, 2 computers, camshaft, new radio, idle issues, brake system failed, and so on. This car has been nothing but nightmare to deal with since the day I purchased it. 2nd, am I paying a fair lease rate if the VIN# is for another body style. The coupe is more expensive on insurance - I have been overpaying since 2/2003.
#2005 c230 kompressor exhaust registration#
I have the original temp registration from the day I purchased the car new, and the dealer typed coupe not four door and on the lease agreement. I called beverly hills ltd where I purchased the car new. To make this short, after talking to my broker at Mercury, it turns out my 4 door has the VIN# of a 2 door coupe. The price was way different then what I was paying with Mercury. Once they put in the VIN# major issues came. 1) last week I decided to quote insurance and make a change to allstate. I have an issue that I was looking into addressing when another major issue just arrose that I need help from the manufacturer who I have contacted but not received a response. I am the owner of a c-230 4 door sedan VIN# wdbrf40j93f386357. Thank you.Īll problems of the 2005 Mercedes Benz C230 I purchased the car with 4,000 miles on it in 10/2005. I would also like for this car to be entered into the recall for the steering wire repair just as the e320. Please help in resolving some of the issues I have had with this 2005 C230 kompressor Mercedes Benz. They continue to put in codes so there will not be a recall and the consumer has to pay out of pocket. I was not happy with the service so I decided to try euromotors and the service was worse. My car was first serviced at herb gordon's auto group in silver spring, maryland. I do not want to pay for another vehicle. I have put $6,800 in repairs in this car. My car just sits because I feel I should not have to pay for any of this any more. I cannot unlock the doors with the remote key and I cannot unlock the trunk of the car. Now my car does not start and the instrument cluster does not light up. I have never had that fixed because they wanted to charge me and I felt they should replace the collar since they replaced the steering wire. Next, euromotor cars said the steering wheel collar was broke. Repair shop says that this is a defect that mb has known about for years.Īll problems of the 2003 Mercedes Benz C230įirst, my steering wheel wire was replaced from a faulty srs light coming on and the esp light coming on. 00 to replace 2 cam sensors, 2 oxygen sensors, and wiring harness. Within the past week, paid more than $ 2,400. Without this repair the ecu (part cost $2000) and oxygen sensors (qty 2 $238 ea) will be eventually damaged and will need to be removed and replaced. Mercedes refuses to recall this defective design on the m271 engine causing owners to pay for the $900 preventative maintenance. There is a technical service bulletin for m111 engine but not the m271 engine. The defective cam sensor and wire harness were used on the previous engine design (m111). A new cam sensor and wire harness has been designed as the corrective action. Oil contamination will damage other electrical components (namely the ecu and exhaust oxygen sensors) if the cam sensors and wire harnesses are not replaced. The cam sensors on the mercedes m271 engine leak oil which spreads to other components via the wire harnesses connected to cam sensors.
